2 wins for senior women at Wallingford Regatta

The Senior Women's squad had an excellent first major race of the summer season at Wallingford Regatta on Sunday 5th May. For once Dorney was bathed in sunshine, and the crews took full advantage of the excellent conditions to put down a marker for the rest of the season. They came away with 2 convincing wins, in WElite 2x (Fran Rawlins and Anna Townsend - so much for retirement, Anna!) and WIM3 4+ (Claire Ridley, Therese Coen, Gemma Peck, Emily Walters, Nicola Glogowski (cox)). Senior women return from Portugal training camp

The senior women's squad recently returned from this year's training camp in Portugal, where they spent a week getting in some quality training off the Tideway, in conditions that, whilst not as beautiful as hoped, were certainly better than the freezing cold and snow "enjoyed" by those left behind in London over Easter... Learn to Row course starting 14th April

The next Learn to Row course will be starting on Sunday 14th April, and will run for 6 weeks, with sessions on Sundays 1.30-3.00pm and Tuesday evenings 7.00-8.30pm (plus an additional session on Saturday 27th April 2.00-4.30pm). Entries now open for Borne @Chiswick regatta

Entries for this year's Borne @Chiswick regatta are now open via the British Rowing Online Entry system, and all MAABC members are strongly encouraged to enter. The regatta takes place on Saturday 11th May, with racing offered in all open, women's and masters categories, as well as junior categories from J14 and mixed coxed fours. If you are worried about picking up points bearing in mind your plans for the rest of the season then remember you can race Masters from the age of just 27 (for which no points are awarded for winning), or you could race the mixed [...]

4 crews from MAABC raced at Women's Head of the River on Saturday 9th March 2013, with our first crew home 20th out of 302 crews. Well done to all those who raced, and thanks to those who came along to cheer from the clubhouse and along the course.
