Gabriella Tose was keen to race at Worcester Autumn Regatta on the picturesque Severn below Worcester Cathedral and acquire at least one more ceramic pot before the end of the summer regatta season. She entered two races (WIM2 and WMastB) racing in a Worcester RC single. We are pleased to report that she won the WIM2 race - congratulations! - and missed the 2nd pot win by 6 feet!
Gabriella Tose joined Quintin BC once again at Stourport Regatta to race in her single and a double with her other half Tim on both Saturday and Sunday. She was keen to acquire one of the special edition pottery tankards they issued this year, and did so on the Saturday by winning WIM3 Ix - congratulations! Unfortunately losing IM3 status meant no racing in her single on Sunday, but this meant she could concentrate her efforts on the Masters 2x sprint race with Tim. In a straight final they narrowly lost to Ross RC - better luck next time! Gabriella's beautiful pot - congratulations! [...]
It was touch and go as to whether it would be possible to stage Molesey Regatta this year, as there was a strong flow following the downpours in the week leading up to the regatta on 14 July. However, Saturday's racing did go ahead and the fast flow made for some interesting starts on the stake boats, with eleven capsizes in all (two fours and several doubles and singles!). Anna and Lynda benefited from this in the first race in their WMasC 2x event, heading off down the course while their opponents (Ardingly) went in at the first stroke! They [...]

A small group of just 3 members of the senior women’s squad made the trip to Nottingham for the British Rowing Championships this weekend, and all came home with medals. Due to changes in the way the British Rowing Championships are organised, only a limited number of events were available this weekend - singles, pairs, and coxed fours. Rebekah Edgar and Lorna Brown won the gold medal and the award of National Club Champions in the lightweight women’s pair. They had originally intended to race in both the heavyweight and lightweight pairs events at the regatta, but due to Lorna being a bit under [...]
The Masters Women's racing group had a great time at Richmond Regatta on Saturday 23 June, and despite the fast tide, blustery conditions and absence of masters' categories, came away with two excellent wins! Anna & Kat won their IM3 2x event, beating Quintin in the first heat, Latymer in the semi-final and Barnes Bridge Ladies in a close finish in the final. Holly was on fine form and disposed of her novice sculling status after comprehensively beating Globe in the first heat and again in the final. Jo and Gabriella got off to a good start [...]
