On Sunday 24th September the sun shone for MAABC’s outing on the Queen’s Rowbarge Gloriana, created to mark her Diamond Jubilee. Some 19 rowers and a dozen passengers assembled as per organiser Peter Robert’s instructions on the dot of 10am (well give or take 25 minutes), all successfully clad in MAA kit (though of varying era and number of layers). Last Saturday night we celebrated the 2016/2017 rowing season with our Pastels and Patterns Summer Party Dinner Dance (click here to see pics!) Organised by 2 of our gorgeous Mortlake Senior Squad members Katie Percival and Jade Robertson, over 75 of our members congregated of all generations to have some fun and acknowledge the our achievements through the rowing season. This Saturday 8 November is our annual bonfire night. Bring friends and family along, we will have a bonfire on the beach, professional fireworks, jacket spud with chilli, music and all this for only £10! Bonfire night poster
The annual MAABC bonfire night and fireworks will take place on Saturday 10 November at 7.00pm. There will be a large bonfire on the beach, lots of fireworks, and even some sky lanterns! (weather permitting). All are welcome, so please bring friends and family to join in the fun. Cost is £10 per adult (free for children) (TBC), which includes food (jacket potatoes with various toppings, and something yummy for dessert). The bar will also be open all evening.
