Kirsty Durman: Running London Marathon

Club member Kirsty Durman will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Mind, a charity supporting people living with mental health problems and their families. The charity provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Any donation no matter how small, would be most gratefully received!

Anna Roots – Memorial Concert

Starz Watterson, a former member of MAA, moved to Germany 3 years ago to study piano.  Subsequently, about 10 months before Anna died, Anna and Sarah Ulliott (aka Scrasey), previous MAA Captain, visited Starz in Germany. Starz is soon returning to visit the UK in April and will be giving a charity piano recital at St Mary's church in Putney on 22nd April at 7.30pm in Anna's memory.  Part of the aim of the recital is to raise funds for the charity that Anna was cycling for when she died and there is therefore a recommended minimum donation of £10. Annual General Meeting 2015

The MAABC Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 24 October 2015. The meeting was well attended by members from across the various groups, all keen to have their say in how the club should be run over the forthcoming year. A new Committee was elected for 2015/16, with many of this year’s committee members reprising their roles, or stepping into new roles. The key items of note are: Nicola Dale, Noel Durkin and Luke Howells  were elected Captain, Secretary and Treasurer Keith Mahony, Jane Fricker and Katarina Rolfsman  were elected as Vice Captains Heather Dawson will take on the roles of Assistant Treasurer Dan [...]
