The publication of the racing timetable for this year's Barnes & Mortlake Regatta is slightly delayed due to the large number of doubling up requests received. Are you looking for a challenge later this year, to prevent boredom setting in at the end of the rowing season? If so, then the Thames Challenge may be for you! It is a 50km or 100km walk, jog or run along the beautiful Thames River, from Putney to Henley, taking place on 14/15th September 2013. A large 12m by 15m marquee will be going on the lawn on the morning of Friday 17th May in preparation for a wedding reception we are hosting in the afternoon of Saturday 18th May. There will be a succession of deliveries of catering equipment and other items during the course of Saturday, from morning onwards. Parking will therefore be restricted from 2 pm onwards. The senior women's squad recently returned from this year's training camp in Portugal, where they spent a week getting in some quality training off the Tideway, in conditions that, whilst not as beautiful as hoped, were certainly better than the freezing cold and snow "enjoyed" by those left behind in London over Easter...
